Product Description

The hotly-anticipated Behringer Model D Analog Synthesizer delivers beautifully authentic sounds straight from Behringer's classic analog monosynth. It consists of 3 punchy oscillators offering all of the crucial waveforms, including sawtooth, triangle, square, pulse and more.

This means you're equipped for everything from pulsing basslines, glitchy soundscapes and wailing lead parts alike. You're also armed with detune controls, a switchable octave range, 3 individual rotary knobs for volume tweaks, and much more. This goes beyond a simple desktop synth; you've got everything you need for fully-fleged sound design and apocalypic synth compositions - and everything in between!

Voltage controlled filter

Among the Model D's extensive tonal shaping features is a voltage controlled filter, which is selectable between low-pass and high-pass. The usual cutoff and resonance options allow you to tweak until you find that harmonic sweet spot that you're after, and you can then apply modulation, glide and ADSR touches for a truly unique sound that you can call your own!

The Model D employs a desktop design that is eurorack sized; it's extremely compact and portable. Its subtle black aesthetic with wooden cheeks oozes retro class, and its interface is clearly divided by sections that are intuitive and easy to navigate. You've then got MIDI connectivity and semi-modular connectivity; perfect for the modern modular user!

This is a fantastic sounding synth, sounds exactly like a MiniMoog, (I had one for years). With minimal tuning issues, (my MiniMoog had to be retuned for an hour or so until it warmed up). I just wish it had saveable presets and a computer editor. Quality product at an incredible price. Footnote... I have only rated durability as good because I haven't had it long enough to know, the components (according to a youtube video I saw), seem to be high quality.

It’s a great sounding synth and looks great with my other synths. I just wish the console was a bit larger, as the controls feel very close together. I have very small hands, so anyone with normal sized mitts will find themselves tweaking two pots at the same time. Behringer should consider making all of these units the same width really, so you can stack them in a rack.

If you know your way around a Moog or pretty much any analogue synth then you are good to go If you’re new to this stuff then it’s all a bit fiddly but once you get the oscillators up and running the sounds are simply stunning! No it’s not a Moog but if you can tell the difference then get your credit card out and buy the real thing For me, I’m getting bass sounds that none of my reasonable collection of digital synths can get to but maybe I’m lazy and can’t be bothered messing This little box is really good value, lots of bang for your buck
