SR basses are the most easily recognised of the Ibanez bass range with their uniquely accessible double cutaway shape. The SR range offers a modern alternative to traditional bass design, and the 2018 range features models from beginner, entry-level instruments all the way up to pro-level basses. They've got lightweight bodies, smooth fast neck and perfectly matched electronics to give you a bass that'll perform under any circumstances!
Body & Neck
Ibanez have used mahogany for the body, delivering a full-bodied sound with a healthy midrange projection. Mahogany is also relatively lightweight; combine this with the SR400EQM's small, curved body design, and you've got an extremely ergonomic, easy-to-play bass at your disposal!
The slim-profile neck uses a combination of maple and rosewood in a 5-piece configuration, as with much of the SR range. This ensures stability and durability over a longer period of usage, not to mention a bright tonal response, with plenty of sustain thanks to the rosewood fretboard.
Electronics & Hardware
The new PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups are made with exposed stainless steel pole pieces; this gives you pristine clarity and a strong signal, perfect for when you want your bass tone to really shine through in the mix. The tone that this pickup produces is perfectly suited to a number of modern styles thanks to its stunning clarity!
Again, Ibanez have made use of their 3-band EQ and 3-way power tap switch for this model. This gives you the ability to truly tame the full tonal capabilities offered by the electronics and wood combination, with single coil tones, pickup blending, and a wide frequency range to play with.
Their Accu-Cast B300 Bridge uses extra-wide string slots, perfect for thicker gauge strings. It's also designed with superior intonation and tuning stability in mind, with excellent resonance to boot. All of these things point to an instrument that's aimed squarely at the modern player on a budget!

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
