James “Munky” Shaffer from the renowned Nu-Metal band Korn has used Ibanez guitars for over 20 years. Pioneering the use of 7-string guitars, Munky’s latest signature model is a pure metal machine with a stealthy look.

As a metalhead, you want a guitar that can handle high amounts of gain without any problems.
Munky went for something different with the APEX20, using a pair of DiMarzio Blaze pickups. These high-output pickups give you a tight and focussed tone, so no matter how much gain you dial in the DiMarzio pickups will be clear and pronounced.
Munky and Ibanez went for something different by choosing a Blaze single-coil in the neck position. This pickup is great if you want to achieve a more glassy clean tone, which is even better with some creepy-sounding chorus – just what Munky loves!
Stealthy Look and Solid Construction:
You get a sleek, metal look with the APEX20. With its smooth black satin finish and stainless steel scratchplate, heads will turn your way when onstage.
The 25.5” scale length gives you the feel and fret-spacing of an “F-style” guitar, yet still provides you with enough tension on the low 7th string. This means that you get a tight, pronounced attack across all strings, with no flabbiness even on the lowest string.
A light basswood body keeps the weight down, yet doesn’t sacrifice any tone. It offers you a well-balanced sound with a punchy mid-range, so your riffs have plenty of definition.
The bolt-on APEX 3pc Maple neck also provides you with a snappy attack, and its thin C profile makes playing effortless.
Munky’s older signature models featured locking tremolo systems, but the APEX20 has a fixed Gibraltar Standard II-7 Bridge. This ergonomic bridge has a smooth feel, so you won’t suffer any discomfort when playing some filthy palm-muted riffs.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
