Product Description

Here’s what Hughes & kettner say about the TubeMeister Deluxe 40:

Where TubeMeister is stunning, TubeMeister Deluxe is simply jaw dropping. Deluxe tones take you from pure, pristine cleans to an authentic brown sound and devastatingly powerful modern-day high gain, all influenced by the most beloved channels of our flagship TriAmp Mark 3.

Key Features

  • Simple To Use - The TubeMeister Deluxe 40 makes your job as a guitar player better sounding, easier, and a whole load more fun.
  • Choose The Power Of The Amplifier - Whether you Rock on Stage, Play at Home or Record at Night, TubeMeister Deluxe 40 is the ideal amp. The real power soak lets you switch between the full 40 Watts of power, 20 Watts, 5 Watts, 1 Watt, or even 0 Watts for truly silent recording at any time of day or night.
  • Connect to a FRFR Speaker or PA - TubeMeister Deluxe 40 is also the first tube amp ever to offer you a genuine FRFR (full range flat response) amp sound experience. The groundbreaking Red Box AE (Ambience Emulation) DI output lets you connect your guitar direct to your recording setup or the PA, so it’s perfect for stage and studio work – and it delivers a perfect mix of authentic 4×12 cabinet ambience effects and an ultra-direct attack of pure tube tone.

I bought this amp head in order to use it everywhere including home , gigs and rehearsals. Until now i have used the amp head only at home and for my rehearsals and it does get loud . I mean LOUD . I managed to turn on the volume only halfway for the rehearsals and definitely was more than enough .This amp head is very powerful and it does exactly what it says . I am very happy with my purchase and i look forward to use it for my gigs as well.

Making the change from BIAS FX to an actual tube amp is a world of difference. This thing without any pedals already sounds insane and perfect.

This is a great amp for the money! Its not distinctive like a Marshall or Mesa, but the drive channel tones are excellent in their own right while sounding a bit "generic" This isn't a bad thing though, there is nothing bad about the tones - they're just not instantly recognisable. You don't get flubbing out on the bottom end, the knobs are usable right through their range and I think the step between the gain level on the crunch and lead channels is well judged. The only drawback I can think of with this amp is that I'd like the knobs to be capable of slightly more extreme settings - just so I can definitely hear when I've gone too far... I usually have the knobs close to 12 O'Clock though. I've now recorded this through my 2x12 V30 loaded cab using an Audix i5 mic and they're the best tones I've ever captured. With my previous amps I was messing about with blending multiple mics and EQ pedals in the loop - nothing like this needed with this amp. Tones sit in the mix really well - You won't need to butcher them. The amp is also much louder than I expected - you'll have no problems doing even large club shows with the 40W. It will easily compete with a drummer for a pub gig on 5W mode. The clean channel really is excellent, its definitely the best clean tone I've ever personally played (compared to Blackstar, >£1000 Fenders, Marshall, Peavey). The lead channel has more gain than you'd reasonably need but its still vaguely usable when maxed out. The amp does sound better when played out loud and records better with a mic in front of a cab (provided you know what you're doing and have experience with how to mic a cab). But the Redbox emulation is very good. Its a bit dull sounding and doesn't mix as easily, but its not in any way unpleasant to listen to so if you want to write/arrange or practice at late at night/early morning - its a great tool. If you're relatively new to recording you'd probably love it! I can't think of a better head for under £1000 quid if you want something really versatile to use for both recording and live in a wide range of styles... I play a kind of progressive punk rock which includes some spanky cleans and some high gain stuff, although I'm mostly using a medium crunch.
