While the Custom 24 may be the original double cut design for PRS one of the first singlecut options was the 245. Named after the scale length the SE 245 is a full sounding workhorse of a guitar that takes a look at the 50's humbucker tones and improves on them for modern player.

Solid Build

Made with a thick Mahogany body topped with Maple this guitar has a look that is familiar but not the same as what you may have seen before. This wood combination also keeps the vintage style tone in check with a warm low end that keeps your rhythm strong but enough bite for your leads to pop through the mix.

The neck uses a thick piece of Mahogany carved into their Fat Wide shape which is closer to what you might expect from a blues rock guitar. The scale length sends across a similar message as well at just 24.5" bends are incredibly

While a lot of the PRS range focuses on a more modern sound the SE 245 certain is a step closer to the vintage world. These pickups have been specifically made for this guitar and have a medium output that is fantastic for blues, rock and jazz styles when you want a bit of overdriven crunch.
