The Digitech Polara is a studio grade ambient reverb pedal that is loaded up with some of the best Lexicon reverbs available. It is not everyday you come across a reverb pedal that not only has reverb as high quality as this but is also as easy to control and create your own sounds on. This is the perfect addition to your pedal if you like to experiment with different types of effects with your sound.
Studio Grade Algorithms
When you get a digital delay pedal the quality of the algorithms is key. When it comes to these algorithms Lexicon sit atop the land as one some of the best programmers around. From Room, Plate, Reverse, Modulated, Halo, Hall and Spring settings ready to go you can go from small to large spaces in an instant.
What separates this pedal from other reveres though is the Halo mode. In this mode you not only get a luscious large reverb but it at also has quieter octaved repeats within the reverb so you have the sound of a backing choir on your board. You can use this for both chords and single note lines to really fills out the mix.
More Control For You
This pedal doesn't just give you 7 presets and say 'that's it have fun'. Digitech give you all the control you need to create reverbs that work for you and your sound. You have your normal level and decay controls which as you would expect control how loud the effect is and how long the decay of the effect is. The one option that gives you a whole new level of control is the Liveliness control. This control changes depending on what type of reverb you are using. It normally controls the signature character about that type of delay like the 'drip' of a spring reverb.
All of these reverbs can run in either mono or stereo so if you want an ever wider sound connect this up to two amps for beautiful luscious sounds. This pedal is also completely true bypass and comes with a couple of handy accessories like precut velcro for your pedalboard and the StompLock pedal cover so you will never knock your settings in the middle of a gig.
