Product Description

Old Blood Noise Endeavours aren't afraid to push the boat out. Hailing from Oklahoma, USA, they specialist in creating weird and wonderful effects that traditionalists wouldn't touch with a barge pole. The Dweller Phase Repeater is their latest textural offering, and it looks set to stun!

A Fresh Take

The phaser effect has been around for an awfully long time - it's one of the oldest musical effects still in use today. But it's also something of an acquired taste; it's formant, vowel-esque sound takes some getting used to.

With the Dweller, OBNE have aimed to start at ground level. This thing does classic phaser sounds really, really well. But naturally, that's only scraping the surface. A number of switches and knobs allow you to blur the lines between phaser, delay, vibrato and pitch effects in gloriously indulgent fashion!

Intuitive Interface

Two switches allow you to control the voice and shape of the phaser respectively (4 stage, 8 stage, sine, triangle, random step). Then come the familiar controls of rate, depth and regen, the likes of which you'd find on your everyday filter. These can be tweaked in conjunction with eachother to find all manner of sweet spots. The mix control does exactly what it says on the tin.

The real magic, however, lies in the stretch function. This controls the delay time within each phaser stage, which results in unique delay and pitch-shift effects. Combine this with the vast modulation palette at your disposal, and the textures you'll come up with are truly something else.

Key Features:

  • Toggle switches to select between two phaser voices (four stage and eight stage) and three wave shapes (sine, triangle, and random step)
  • Three controls to shape the sound of the phaser: Rate to set rate, Depth to set depth, and Regen to increase intensity.
  • An innovative Stretch control that changes delay time inside each phaser stage
  • Mix control from 100% dry (unaffected signal) to 100% wet (affected signal)
  • Expression jack for external control of the Stretch parameter
  • Internal trimpot to control output level
  • Relay bypass switching and standard 9VDC center negative power
