Product Description

The Klone is, as you may have thought, a clone of the famed silver Klon centaur overdrive.

It was recently on an episode of That Pedal Show where the guys rated it as the best Klon clone that they've heard!

The Klone absolutely nails the holy grail of adding gain to your tone without significantly affecting the tone. The Klon is probably where the 'Transparent Tone' term originated.

It will push the front end of your amp to give you a warm but clear overdrive sound and with it's simple layout, you'll easily be able to dial in a guitar sound that rocks.

  • Gain - The gain knob will add the dirt. From nothing at all to mild, sweet overdrive.
  • Treble - This will bring back the top-end and works really well with humbuckers to give you more presence.
  • Output - The overall volume output of the pedal. When used with the gain on 0, it will act as a boost pedal.

Very pleased with this pedal that breaks up nicely and with clarity with plenty of headroom. Expensive but still recommended.

To be honest I've had 5 or 6 various drive pedals over the years and this is the first that I've really liked - I'd almost given up!! Happy now. Just plugged in and no gain dialed in it lifts the sound of the amp slightly. I wanted low to medium gain and thats exactly what I got - wonderful tone with my fender pro junior and telecaster - very pleased.

I use it with different guitars (Mustang, Jazzmaster, ES330, Junior Lespaul) and tested it on 2 amps, one transistor, the other being an all-tube combo. Even if it will work very well with any type of amplification, it is with tubes that it gives the full measure of what can be expected from it. Because its primary function is a boost that makes it possible to "twist" these lamps and add this natural saturation to them, which varies according to the dynamics of the game, according to the way the strings are attacked. Extremely transparent pedal that fully respects the character of both the guitar and the amp. It is clearly not a hi-gain pedal (and will not be suitable for hard or metal sound lovers), but it allows you to get very nice crunchs. The gain at zero, by playing only with the tone and output volume, you get a very high quality clean boost. Then, when you use the gain, you add not only the drive, but also medium frequencies in your sound, and the interaction between the buttons becomes very interesting (between gain and output, the "treble" allowing you to sculpt according to your taste and according to the guitar and amp you use, to have a high frequency that slams well or a less brilliant sound without being "muddy"). The "treble" adjustment can be used over its entire stroke, which is not the case for all pedals (in my opinion). The use is therefore very simple and intuitive, the settings are very progressive. From the cleanest sound to a more pronounced drive (without being a big saturation), the sound remains really very defined and respects the "identity" of your guitar and your amp (transparent overdrive? as we can sometimes read...). When you turn on this pedal, you get the impression that the sound becomes more open, that it widens, and that it's easy to get out of a mix without having to push the volume. Moreover, its manufacturing quality seems to me to be very good,, very soft potentiometers. So I see only "more" in the use of this effect, for those who want to boost a guitar sound (and get a nice drive without wanting to go to the extreme, because this pedal is clearly not made for that). This RYRA The Klone perfectly meets what it was designed for (in my humble opinion), at a price that remains affordable for handmade equipment. To conclude, and as far as I'm concerned, I don't think it will leave my pedalboard, unlike other effects that correspond to very typical and very specific uses.

Probably the best Klon's clone I've even heard. I mean other pedals like the Tumnus are very cool. Close to the original but with their own personnality which is good as well. But this one IS the Klon tonally speaking.
