Product Description

The Jackson Audio Amp Mode may be small, but it sure packs a punch. The Amp Mode uses the circuit of the same name from the Jackson Audio’s popular PRISM preamp pedal. Utilising a MOSFET transistor, the Amp Mode lives up to its name offering organic, amp-like tone for a natural-sounding boost.

The Amp Mode is based on a MOSFET transistor which is enjoyed by many guitarists for its amp-like characteristics such as the way it clips when you push it into overdrive. The Amp Mode can help push a clean tone into a warm and organic overdrive or you can run it into an overdrive pedal for increased saturation. You can also put it after your gain pedals to give you extra clarity and help you cut through the mix when you launch into a solo.

A downside of MOSFET transistors is that they can have an audible crackle when you turn the boost control. Thankfully,  Jackson Audio have addressed this issue so there’s nothing interfering with your sound as you adjust the boost level. When you turn the boost level all the way down your signal is no longer affected and instead acts as a buffer for strengthening your signal.

With its compact size and top-mounted jacks, the Amp Mode won’t take up much space on your pedalboard. It also runs on 9-18v power and features true bypass switching for preserving your tone when not in use.
