Key features
- Limited Edition model straight from the ‘80s
- 4 bold retro finishes
- Distinct HM Strat silk logo on headstock
- Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo
- High-output HM pickups, HSS configuration
- All-black hardware
- Basswood body
- Satin-finished narrow C-shaped neck
- Super-flat 17" radius fingerboard with rosewood neck
Originally produced between 1988 -1992, the Fender HM Strat was a moderate success during its relatively short production run. Then grunge took over. Once the hair metal movement ended as grunge started to dominate the airwaves, the knock-on effect was that Floyd-equipped "Superstrats" were no longer cool.
But as you'd expect, the HM Strat became a sought-after collectable for keen Fender aficionados, who adored its hot-rodded looks and forward-thinking features. The resurrected HM Strat retains much of the original's DNA. Heck, it's even made in the same factory!
