The PRS SE range of guitars have been constantly getting better and better. Nothing really comes close to the SE range in terms of value for money and now they are about to get even better. The new SE Standard range takes back a lot of the extra trimmings from some of the regular SE models and offers up an insanely good guitar at a brilliant price point. Coming from Indonesia the PRS SE Standard 245 is everything you would want out of a single cut guitar without having to break the bank
One of the things that made PRS stand out when they launched in 1985 was the 25" scale length this meant you could get a feel and level of playability that wasn't available before in production guitars. Not everyone is a fan of that and some people like a shorter more traditional singlecut scale length. That is where the 245 comes in, with a 24.5" scale length you can get around this neck a lot easier with a bit less string tension.
If tradition is what you are after than this may be the right guitar for you. Made with a mahogany body and neck that has PRS's signature 'Wide Fat' profile for those who like to dig in to a chunkier neck. If you want to rock with this guitar you can or if you want to mellow it up you can do so with ease without having to worry about any loss in quality.
PRS Grade Hardware
When you buy a guitar like this though sometimes you can expect a catch somewhere. Not with this SE Standard range though. The hardware is nearly identical to what you would find on a regular SE model. You still get the excellent PRS designed stoptail, PRS tuners and PRS SE 245 Humbucking pickups so you know that it will play and sound amazing.
