The Ibanez Roadcore line is a very new addition to the lineup. Even though it is new it has already achieved a great level of success with Chris Miller from You Me At Six basing his signature guitar on the Roadcore shape. This particular guitar is the top of the line RC, the RC1320 is a made in their Japanese Prestige factory to make sure it is the best guitar it can be.
Plain and Simple Rock Machine
It is not very often you see an Ibanez with this kind of retro inspired design. Its flat top and simple hardware choice make this the perfect stripped back rocking machine that still looks great on stage. Instead of going for the usual thin neck Ibanez are known for with the Roadcores they have opted for a slightly larger and rounder neck profile that would be closer to what you would expect out of a heavy rhythm guitar that you can dig into.
The woods chosen for this guitar have been specifically picked for their long history in classic rock guitar and versatility. So with this you have a mahogany body and an RC carved maple neck that compliment each other perfectly to create a lush balanced sounding guitar that you can pick up and play easily.
No rock guitar is complete without a set of incredible pickups. Because versatility was key with this guitar these pickups may not be some of the hotest but they work for nearly any genre and style. The Seymour Duncan '59 and JB are industry standards as they let the articulation and small nuances of your playing come though crisp and clear. Meaning you can take this guitar from a blues jam one night to a metalcore gig the next without issue. Need something a bit cooler? well you can also coil tap these pickups at any time giving you tone somewhere in between a single coil and P90 pickup for an ever wider palette of sounds.
Ibanez did not miss out on the smaller things either from the high quality bone nut, Gotoh Magnum Lock machineheads to the Tight-Tune bridge everything has been chosen to keep your guitar stable and sounding great every night of the week. You will not be disappointed with any part of this guitar.
