Gibson USA SG Special HP 2017 Satin Vintage Sunburst

The SG Special HP is like your favourite old car with a completely new engine and paint job. It looks ultra-modern witht he chrome knobs, pickup covers and machine heads the guitar itself is covered witha  thin nitro finish and thats it. No heavy gloss to bog down the natural resonance and tone of the wood.

It's the kind of guitar you'd want to gig with because the titanium zero nut makes it a breeze to set up for optimum playing action and with the g-force tuning system and amazing pickups, you'd be covered for any style!

Slim taper neck

The Slim taper neck is comfortable in the hand without being too flat or too round either. The fret edges are rolled on all of the new Gibson 2017 models which makes them feel played in, straight out of the box and this is something normally found on Gibson Custom shop models.

Pickups

The pickups are 61R and 61T which are high-output modern pickups. They still give you that classic Les Paul tone but with a bit more clarity in the upper-mid and treble frequency range. They'll easily handle styles as diverse as blues and hard rock or even metal.

G-Force

The G-Force system is an automatic tuning system that sits behind the headstock. It runs on a battery that holds charge for up to 100 hours but only loses charge when used.

It makes life incredibly easy when changing tunings between songs on stage or in studio, or even to tweak or adjust your tuning in between songs. It's as easy as hitting the on button, then hitting the tune button and letting it do it's thing. And if you don't want to use the automatic tuning system, then you can use the tuners as you would on a traditional guitar, as long as the system isn't turned on.
