Gibson Limited Edition Flying V in Natural Mahogany
The Gibson Flying V has been a huge part of the rock and metal guitar worlds for generations. Originally launched in 1958 as a take on a futuristic guitar it is still just as popular today as it has ever been. This limited edition '72 inspired models is finished in just a natural lacquer letting the natural beauty of the Mahogany body and neck show through.
Mahogany has been the main wood used on Gibson guitars ever since the 1950's. It is heavy but the powerful tone it creates is unmatched when paired with a pair of powerful humbucking pickups. So apart from the Rosewood fretboard the rest of the guitar is made out of some quite stunning Mahogany that has been chosen to look great with this natural finish.
Hot Ceramic Pickups
While Flying V's have been used by a whole bunch of different players throughout the years nowadays they are focused in on the players who love some high gain destruction. So Gibson have fitted this guitar with a pair of pickups they call the 496R and 500T.
