Chapman Ghost Fret in Flame Blue

The Ghost Fret is finally here! Designed by Chapman Guitar owner and Dorje guitarist Rob Chapman the Ghost fret is an incredible axe made for sweet shredding metal licks. Based on a classic EX style guitar the Ghost Fret has an massive sound when pushed through a high gain rig with smooth playing action.

Signature Chapman Tone

If you know about Rob Chapman's playing you know that his sound is hot and heavy. One of the goals with this guitar was to create something that captures the aggressiveness in his tone but can still calm down whenever needed. This versatility comes not only from the wood choice but the Chapman branded 'Passive aggressive' pickups in the body as well. As the name suggests these are passive pickups that are very hot and work best running through a hot gain heavy rig.

Beautifully Carved

Based on one of the most beloved metal guitar shapes the Ghost Fret has some been made to clinical perfection so the guitar you get not only feels but sounds great. The body for example is made out of a pair of Sapele Mahogany wings with a three piece maple neck going straight through the body in what is known as a neck through design. This means that the neck runs from the tip of the headstock to the complete other side of the body for the best resonance and feel. The neck itself has been carved to a thin C neck contour so it is easy to play and stretches over a 24.75" scale length with 22 extra jumbo frets making it perfect for digging in on heavy riffs.

One thing that you may have noticed with this guitar is that it has a carved top which is not something you commonly see on a guitar of this shape. Keeping this soft arch top on the guitar required something special so they topped the body with stunning bookmatched and flamed Canadian Maple for a beautiful finish.

Top Grade Hardware

Like a lot of Chapman guitars the Ghost Fret has been kitted out with some of the best possible hardware on the market today. The locking tuners are made by industry legends Hipshot who do not compromise on quality for any of their parts. Finish off the guitar with the industry standard TUSQ nut and you have a guitar that will not go out of tune. Finally this guitar also comes with a Chapman Hardcase to keep your guitar protected.
