Product Description

As one of the smallest members of the Bassbreaker family this small amplifier has a lot to live up to. This series of amplifiers is based on what might have happened in the 60's if Fender decided to go after the rock amp market instead of the country and blues players. This means more aggressive midrange, more gain and a more British like tone.

One Channel, So Many Options

Unlike some of the bigger models in the Bassbreaker line that are based on legendary Fender amps the 15 is a completely new design. This really comes through in its tri mode setup and how it can handle everything from soft crystal cleans to crushing high gain without any pedals.

The key to this is the three way mode switch that goes between low, mid and high settings. In low you get classic Fender clean tones although with a bit more midrange edge. In mid mode you start to get some great blues and rock crunch similar to old 60's gold piped amps. Finally high mode really lets you dig in with massive chords and soaring leads as you get in to a more modern sounding hard rock tone territory.

From Studio to the Stage

This amplifier has a bunch of features that make it perfect for both studio and live use. At 15w it is more than pokey enough to cut through a small band (possibly with the help of a mic for some mid-sized gigs) but still quiet enough to be used in studio or at home.

You can even completely mute the internal speaker and use the XLR out to run out to a speaker system or recording setup for silent use. Just add on some speaker simulation and you have a great way to use the bassbreaker at all times.

Here's what Fender say about the Bassbreaker 15 Head

Supercharged with a plethora of flexible features, the Bassbreaker 15 is a top-notch performer for stage or studio. This chameleon-like amp creates its magic with a trio of 12AX7 preamp tubes feeding into two EL84 power tubes for 15 watts of tight, modern tone. The all-new three-position Gain Structure switch gives the amp three distinct "boutique" voices, ranging from mild to wild. They're all tasty and touch-sensitive without masking the character of the guitar.

Recording-friendly features such as XLR line output with switchable speaker emulation and Power Amp Mute make it easy to lose yourself in the moment without getting bogged down by the details. A level-adjustable digital hall reverb adds just the right amount of ambience.

The handsome new Bassbreaker cosmetic treatment includes dark gray lacquered tweed, oversized pointer knobs, Fender "block" logo, and more. With great looks, tone, and features, the Bassbreaker 15 is destined to become a go-to amp for rehearsals, gigging and recording.

Best fender ever. Excellent

Trusted Customer20th Dec 2017

I think I may have been expecting too much from this inexpensive amplifier head. The reviews on the internet had all been positive and so I tried one out. I even bought the amp and took it home but after a couple of days putting it through its paces, I concluded that it wasn't really the sound I was after. The Fender clean sounds aren't Fender enough and the overdrive sounds can't be balanced because the channels aren't switchable. Eventually I returned the amplifier to Andertons who were very nice and recredited the full amount to my credit card. Eventually I bought a Fender Deluxe Reverb - it was much more money but it delivered the sounds I was after.

Lite platt i tonen men låter annars bra. Går att fixa med en eq pedal
