Fender pickups are an excellent way to customise your tone, especially because these particular single-coils are based on a design by legendary electronics guru Tim Shaw! Fender have worked with Shaw over a number of decades to create pickups for both the top-of-the-line American Professional range and Custom Shop guitars.
These Hot Tele pickups are overwound for a gritty vintage quality. Producing the timeless tone are alnico V magnets, piling on some serious heat to the classic voicing. The bridge pickup features a copper bass plate and Formvar wire for the recognisable twangy character. Meanwhile, the neck pickup uses enamel wiring for a slightly smoother tint to the sound.
