The Dimarzio Bluesbucker is a bit of a dark horse in the world of pickups. Fitting nicely into a regular humbucker shell, the Bluesbucker recreates the sound of the Classic P-90 pickup whilst eliminating hum as well as the best humbucking pickup. This means that any guitar with humbucker designed slots can have the tone of the P-90's without the noise and without the fuss of modding the guitar to fit a different pickup style.
Dimarzio's Technological advances have enabled them to achieve the dynamic range of a single coil, and the opportunity to give the guitarist a variety of playing options. For example, in addition to the regular sound, it is possible to split the pickup to produce the kind of tones you would expect from a Strat pickup, with very little drop in output. In addition, you can vary your tone further by switching the pickup to reverse. This reverses the position of the "hot" pickup, giving a brighter sound towards the bridge, and a warmer sound towards the neck.
Two of these Bluesbuckers in both neck and bridge positions work in perfect harmony, and with the range of placement and setup options, you can have a full tonal pallete for a great sounding guitar.
