Morgan are an American firm based in California that make high end amps and cabs. This 35 watt combo has great tone with the style of an old British amp combined with a good few modern touches. This is a professional grade combo with a solid build that has great clean tone and with 8 and 16 ohm outs you can connect them to a range of cabs. Morgan make a matching range which sound stunning with these.

Dial in the gain

The Master volume on this amp is similar to the ones used in The SW series of Morgan Amps. Once the master volume is over the 2 o’clock position it will start adding gain to the power section of the amp.

The Midrange control does the same job. It is designed to behave normally until about the 9 o’clock position on the dial. From that point on you will be adding gain along with your midrange giving you a completely different feel and growl. Adding these 2 together you can get seriously rich sounding high gain response... great for soloing.

If you're a guitarist who plays clean to overdriven tones and you need an amp that can handle anything from a smoky club for a small crowd all the way to those venues where you need binoculars to see the stage from the back of the crowd then this head is a great choice.

Classic style

This head has Morgan's Classic finish. This has a traditional, understated style and as we all know Black goes with everything so this would suit a whole range of styles.

The Morgan RCA35R starts with the circuit from the RCA35 and then adds three spring tube driven reverb. The Morgan RCA35Rwas designed around a special output transformer that is equally happy with 6L6s or 6V6s or EL34s or KT66s or KT77s or 6CA7s. The RCA35’s unique design allows any of these tubes to be swapped in. Simply choose a matched pair and just plug and play. The Cathode Bias design allows you to swap power tubes without the need for rebiasing. The RCA35R has a black face style tone stack. The Bass, Mid, and Treb controls give you a wide range of tones. Do not be afraid to use extreme settings on the tone controls, they are designed to give you the most dramatic swings available to allow you to go from clean and glassy like an EL84 class A amp to thick and grindy like the best plexi you have ever heard.The RCA35R reverb is also run parallel to the original tone stack. This means when the reverb is not being used it is totally out of the circuit unlike most other guitar amp reverbs. The Midrange control on this amp is special.
