Taylor GT Grand Theater Series Acoustic Guitars

Taylor are an American acoustic guitar powerhouse, and when they release something new - it's a big deal! Their Grand Theater model is an ergonomic instrument with its small body shape and short 24.125" scale length, but there are zero compromises when it comes to its tone or ability to project sound. The brainchild of Taylor's head designer Andy Powers, the Grand Theater perfectly combines the comfortable playability of a small instrument with the rich tonal breadth of a conventionally-sized, solid-wood acoustic guitar.

Constructed from a blend of sustainable Urban Ash (back & sides) and Solid Spruce (top), the Taylor Grand Theater has an expressive sound with plenty of woody mid-range. Taylor has also pioneered a new 'C- Class' bracing design for its GT guitar, utilising a cantilevered asymmetrical design that merges stiffness and flexibility in a way that enhances bass frequencies - yielding full sonics and brilliant volume.

Available as a standard GT model, the GTe version features the very same tonewoods and dimensions albeit with Taylor's proprietary 'ES2' electronics. Utilising a patented "behind-the-saddle" pickup and cleverly-positioned sensors, this system allows the instrument's natural warmth to be accurately conveyed through a PA system or into a recording interface.
