Greenhouse Effects' Deity is no ordinary reverb pedal. Neither simple one-effect stompbox nor all-encompassing ambience toolkit, this pedal transcends its compact enclosure and simple interface to deliver otherworldly reverb sounds that mere mortals could only dream of!
You'd be forgiven for looking at the Deity and thinking that it looks simple. You'd be partially correct; it's incredibly simple to use, with four knobs and a toggle switch. But its plethora of sounds is anything but simple - this little stompbox offers a world of stunning ambient sounds as colourful as its artwork might suggest!
Three Distinct Modes
The switch in the middle of the interface allows you to jump between three different sounds. Let's start with the basics; the 'Natural' mode is an organic-sounding room/hall reverb. This timeless effect can be used for anything from giving your riffs a little extra room to immersing your clean tone in luxurious space. The natural mode also has a subtle 'rotating room' effect, adding a little extra movement to your already colourful tone.
The 'Sentient' mode is where things start to get really interesting. By adding simple reactive modulation, your sound will adopt a new, supernatural persona. The modulation treads a line between tremolo and filter, resulting in a smooth but unique shimmering effect. You can even kill the reverb entirely and use the shimmering modulation by itself!
Finally the 'Ethereal' mode provides you with a heavenly choir-like tone thanks to its layered octave effect. By using a simple polyphonic upper & lower octave sound, you can attain a sparkling modern ambience with ease. Add a textured edge to your lead playing or send your sound spiralling into obscure ambience by tilting the mix to 100% - or anything in between!
