The ES-Les Paul 2016 is the perfect marriage of Les Paul and ES-335. It yields powerful tones and a lightweight playing feel, courtesy of PAF-style MHS pickups, a rounded 'C' neck profile, historic detailing and gives you amazing Low-End tone.
The Les Paul is one of the most famous guitar profile’s in rock history. Used in some form by a whole host of manufacturers the Gibson Les Paul was one of the first commonly available electric guitars on the market. Slash, Zakk Wylde, Joe Bonnamassa…. Across the genre’s they have been vital to the development of music through the years.
New For 2016
Gibson have made a few small tweaks to this guitar for 2016. While none of these will drastically change the sound or feel of the guitar they do make it a bit more relieble. This is thanks to the new Adirondack Spruce bracing and going for the well tested ABR-1 bridge for tuning stability.
Taking the lessons learned from the development of the ES-335 the ES-Les Paul has a center-block hollow body with classic style F Holes. You get great resonance and a really deep, characterful tone. The low profile frets on this guitar give a really smooth playability and very accurate intonation, perfect for lead playing.
The 2016 ES-Les Paul comes with a pair of stunning Memphis Historical Spec pickups. These have great vintage tone with a bright edge. With slightly less treble cut than other Les Pauls this model has a harmonically rich quality to it. 2 tone and 2 volume controls let you dial in your tone exactly every time.
