Leo Fender’s legacy lies in G&L, the Californian company where he said he made his best guitars. The 2018 Fullerton Standard Legacy is a product of the famous Fullerton factory, where Leo’s private workshop resides.
The Standard is a combination of modern playability and classic design. You’ll get a legendary shape, setup and sound with unwavering reliability and feel.
Body and neck
The Fullerton Standard Legacy is made with a balanced Alder body, Maple neck and beautifully dark Caribbean Rosewood fretboard. The satin neck finish makes this guitar exceedingly easy to play.
A bolt-on neck design provides plenty of sustain for long, winding guitar passages. Have the peace of mind that your guitar remains stable throughout long practice sessions or live shows.
Three alnico V single coil pickups provide classic tones, faithful to the Leo-designed S-500. They’re warm in the midrange, scooped in the low end and are aggressive with highs. So if you want to roll with a modern sound, the Standard Legacy can handle what you throw at it.
There are two tone controls and one volume so there’s plenty of variation to work with. Roll off on the tone knobs to get a 50’s or 60’s vibe. Crank it and the Standard is surprisingly powerful.
It’s equipped with G&L’s dual-fulcrum vibrato tremolo for super smooth comfort and movement. While the saddle lock bridge holds great tuning retention. It also transfers more resonance into the body for a greater playing experience.
