Product Description

Fender Custom Shop Strats are special in so many ways, but this one takes the crown. Our very own famous duo Captain Anderton and Danish Pete spec’d up this guitar themselves to what we feel are the best features you'd want from a Strat.

Construction

Only the very best materials are used to make Fender Custom Shop guitars. Like the original '60s design, this '62 Strat is made of a lightweight alder covered in a nitro lacquer - meaning it'll age how you handle the instrument, even beyond the base relic finish.

Bolted on is the classic maple neck appointment in a relatively modern (for vintage style Custom Shops) '63 "C" shape. It takes inspiration from Fender's sixties transition to fast playing Strats. On top is a beautiful AAA rosewood fretboard embedded with 21 easy-to-play jumbo frets, while still retaining a splash of retro playability thanks to the curved 7.25 inch fretboard radius.

Sound

Equipped is a triple threat of Texas Special single coil pickups dishing out classic Strat dynamism. The Texas Special is characterised by a chirpy midrange punch, glassy highs and much tighter lows. It's a great choice for crystal cleans through to snappy edge of breakup tones and into cutting higher gain. A Texas Special in each pickup position gives you the power to explore the full sonic range of these fantastic Custom Shop pickups.
