We never thought this day would come, but it has - the ultimate Custom Shop Thinline Tele! Spec'd up by our very own Captain Anderton and Danish Pete, these gorgeous instruments are built with the utmost quality and accuracy to make a Tele purist fall in love! The model takes the classic Nocaster design and puts a Thinline twist on it!
Thinline Nocaster Body
The body of this model is a throwback to one of the earliest Teles ever produced, the legendary Nocaster. With its black pickguard, blonde finish, and ash body it has all the features of that classic design, but with one major difference... it's semi-hollow! While the Thinline Tele wasn't introduced until the late 60s, we've reimagined the Nocaster with a Thinline design to give you a warmer and more resonant spin on the iconic Tele tone.
Large C Neck
The shape of the neck keeps with the vintage theme with a "Large C" profile that really fills the hand comfortably. However for the fingerboard we've broken with tradition and gone for a more modern 9.5” radius still makes the Tele a breeze to play and the frets are narrow and tall allow for quick jumps across the fingerboard. It also means you’ll never struggle with those big bends, even if you prefer to use heavier strings.
Classic Tonewood Combination
A wise man once said: "A guitar is only as good as the wood it’s built from." We specifically requested lightweight ash for these guitars, the same as the very first solid-body electrics back in the '50s. They’ve also got quartersawn Maple necks to ensure you get that classic Tele twang.
To top it all off, you've got a nitro cellulose lacquer finish all over. This model has a heavy relic on the body and neck to instantly give you that familiar, played-in feel.
Ultimate Tele Pickups
In the bridge position, the '51 Nocaster pickup delivers its hot, bright attack - the essence of everything that a Tele bridge pickup should be, and some.
The neck position Twisted Tele pickup provides a smooth tone, with a satisfying bounce and vibrancy thanks to the semi-hollow ash & maple tonewood combo. The Twisted Tele is essentially a Strat neck pickup in Tele form, so expect a brilliant balance of punch, clarity and a bit of thump for good measure.
