Joe Bonamassa is a living blues legend. And this is his signature Epiphone guitar, based on his privately-owned Gibson custom shop beauty.
The ES-355 Standard Outfit is the sixth collaboration between Joe and Epiphone. Opting for the classic semi-hollow body, the ES-355 shares many similarities with the original vintage instrument.
Body and Neck
Utilising a three-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, the ES-355 balances class and restraint in equal measure. Pinstripes flow round the black edges, while binding wraps itself round the 12" radius Ebony fingerboard. Not only are you certain you're getting a stunning looking guitar, but one that plays great too.
The Mahogany neck keeps the ES-355 Standard Outfit well-balanced when standing and is emblazoned with Joe's signature in gold silkprint on the headstock.
The pair of Epiphone alnico ProBuckers are perfectly suited to classic rock and blues. You can easily lure grit out from your cleans, especially from the slightly overwound ProBucker 3 in the bridge. Both are designed to emulate the sound of '50s P.A.F pickups.
They sound fat, full of character and ready to scream with bends and vibrato.
The ES-355's semi-hollow body provides great natural resonance round the wood. Paired with the 24.75" neck scale length, this is a guitar that truly sings.
Equipped with a sturdy Bigsby B7 bridge, you can add your own personal touch to proceedings. It's been paired with a Graphtech Nubone nut and Grover tuners for supreme stability even through expressive performance.
Finished with a tortoiseshell pickguard to add to the sleek aesthetic. Comes with a custom hard case and hand-signed certificate of authentication.
