Product Description

The Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Mr. Les Paul himself wanted to convey to audiences that the solid body electric guitar was not a fad but a superb and challenging instrument and that his signature axe, the Les Paul, was the king of all electric solid body guitars. So, Les requested a Les Paul with a custom color finish in solid black and solid white with gold hardware that would blend well with a tuxedo.

The result was the Les Paul Custom, or the “tuxedo” Les Paul, as it became known among fans. The Les Paul Custom quickly became one of the most recognized guitars in the world and Les himself used his Les Paul Custom in concert, on his weekly television show with wife Mary Ford and on his album covers, including his famous duet with pal Chet Atkins, Chester and Lester.

Now with Epiphone’s superior ProBucker™ humbucker pickups with coil-splitting along with the Custom’s classic gold hardware, fully bound body, neck and headstock, and pearloid inlays, we think you’ll agree that the Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO is “dressed to kill.”

It's a sub-£500 guitar that sounds like a £2000 one. Some cosmetic glitches when you look very closely, but the main bit, the really important bit (to me) is that it sustains like it has a sustaniac built in. It's a very resonant, solid feeling thing, and the pickup switching makes it very versatile.

Good upgrade from my last guitar

Mr Matthew Fox19th Mar 2019

This is my second Les Paul and my first real opportunity to compare it to my ‘96 Epiphone standard. The neck is much thicker but it doesn’t seem to compromise on playability. The tone is gorgeous. It weighs a little more than my sunburst but you quickly forget once you’re playing. The build quality and finish is fantastic. It’s my first experience with ProBuckers and they seem great. This guitar is incredibly versatile and outstanding value. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great. I would absolutely recommend this guitar to players like myself that are working within a budget but love the iconic single cutaway design. I love my custom pro, I’m really happy with it!

Quick, safe delivery, of a guitar at the best price available, brilliant.

Mr Aaron Kovrlija11th Jan 2019

Beautiful guitar that plays and feels fantastic. Coil splits and phase switches give a plethora of tones. Fit and finish is on par with my Gibson’s in a more accessible package.

Feels great with lots of variety in sound and tone. Fret board was quite dirty and snapped a string within a week but other than that i love it.

Mr Trevor Lloyd2nd Jan 2016

Fantastic guitar, excellent tones from all pup's and phasing switches.

Far superior to my Gibson Les Paul standard from 1980's.purchased this for the pro bucker pickups and coil tapping and new phase effect. This guitar is awesome cannot praise it enough.needs to be setup as action was too high but a change of strings lowering height and adjustment to attenuation and it perfect.Chinese guitar but don't let that put you off.you would be crazy to buy Gibson these days as the ones I've seen were so disappointing that I changed to USA Stratocaster but this Epiphone is truly amazing value.
