Product Description

The Dual Super Lead amps have long been a staple of the Marshall range, since launching in the '90s to great critical acclaim. Known for their ultra-versatile sound as well as their surprising proficiency with high-gain sounds, they eventually came to be hailed as a modern classic. Now Marshall have unveiled the latest generation of DSLs - offering everything you loved about the originals but with several tweaks aimed at the modern player!

The DSL1HR is a 1W valve head with digital reverb; this tiny but mighty amp delivers great valve sound at low levels. It follows a near-identical formula for the DSL1R combo, with two channels at your disposal: classic gain and ultra gain, both of which do exactly what they say on the tin! The classic gain is warm but clear, and extremely responsive to adjustments, whereas the ultra gain allows you to tip into that full-pelt Marshall distortion that's so widely adored.

One of the niftiest features of the DSL1R is the Softube-designed emulated output, which allows top-class cab simulation for direct-out recording. You can even disconnect your cab for fully silent recording or practicing!

Great amp, nice clean sounds and obviously a great ultra gain channel. The 1 watt mode is surprisingly loud, easily loud enough for band practice. 0.1 watt mode perfect for practice at home. Lightweight and portable. I really appreciate the fact it comes with a footswitch and speaker cable.

Excellent sounding amp, real value for money. I pair mine with a MX112 Cabinet and use a Boss RV-6 reverb instead of the amps reverb.

excellent little amp head for bedroom use. I changed one of preamp tubes to tame the gain a bit, massive difference. plugged into a 1×12 cab with g12 m celestian greenback, rock n roll heaven!

I wasn't sure about this at first, but after playing it for a while, I actually like it as much as my 2525 Jubilee! Only thing is that you need to change the channel at low volume to avoid the "pop". For the price point at the 1W range, it's my first choice amp. The cool thing is you can use this head with a nice cab and it sounds much better than a little combo. Definitely get a lot more out of this little amp.

Mr. Ben Gothard21st Feb 2019

Great little amp for home practice. Being able to get valve amp response at home volume is a challenge but this amp, combined with a celestion loaded 2x8 cab, is spot on. The FX loop is really useful for delays etc as this thing begs to be pushed hard. It is actually surprisingly loud and I could easily annoy the neighbours if I wanted to but the low power mode still sounds great and is much more sociable!

Everything perfect and as expected.
