Shells:

The 6-ply, 7.5mm shells are made of a blend of Poplar and Asian Mahogany, making them very robust and gig-ready. This blend of woods delivers a wide full-bodied sound, with a rich and pronounced low-end, a smooth mid-range and soft highs. This kit is therefore versatile enough for most styles, perfect not only for the stage but also in the studio.

History of Pearl

Pearl have been making musical equipment in Japan since 1946. In 1950 founder Katsumi Yanagisawa refocused the company's efforts towards drums before adding Latin percussion, Timpani and marching drums a few years later.

Pearl Opti-Loc Mounting System

Pearl’s Opti-Loc Mounting System’s three-way attachment design utilizes rubber isloators at two tuning points and another at one of the drum’s two air vents. This creates maximum sustain and resonance while providing wobble-free performance.
