Bought this as a bit of an impulse buy during lockdown... great colour, and with my Andertons points was very affordable. I wasn't expecting greatness, but playing it straight out of the box I was gobsmacked. This is such a great guitar for very little outlay! Yes, the frets are rough and need polishing, but they are nicely levelled and there is no buzzing with a decent action, accurately cut nut and ideal neck relief. The neck is fairly plain and uncoated, but nicely smoothed on the back, is very comfy and quite slim, and the fret edges are smooth. The pickups sound better than I was expecting, the pots work well, bridge is fairly solid and smooth to the hand, and tuners hold well.
For a beginner, this guitar would be inspirational. For a more experienced player it would be a lot of fun, and for me it will be a great modding platform.
Well done Squier!

Its a steal! Excellently set-up right out the box, the finish on the neck is smooth as hell, the colour is my absolute favorite EVER and the tones are beautiful and inspiring.
This is my first ever strat, after a tele and some other humbucker guitars. I gotta say, I wasnt sure if such a cheap strat would make for a good daily instrument, as im so used to my other guitars, and I already had Telecaster-tones at my disposal.
But it's an excellent addition to my collection; the sonic possibilies are plentiful, and it plays extremely effortlessly.
For this price, i would hold off that pedal you wanna buy and just get a goddamn purple strat haha... Extremely good value

I'm more of a metal guy, but I've never had an SSS strat before. I loved the color, and I wanted a guitar that I could customize. I believe at the factory, they may have messed up the drilling of the hole for the bottom strap pin; however, the replacement pins I got had 2 sizes of screws. The bigger sized screw cut new threads, so the factory drilling became a non-issue.

The quality of Squiers just get better and better. I've set this Bullet up and it doesn't need a fret level! Now with upgraded pickups and pots it's ready to gig with. I'm shocked at how far the quality has come in the pas couple of years especially as this is a lower end Squier. I have a other Squiers from a higher tier range (Deluxe and Vintage modified) which are older and both needed a fret level to be gigging standard, as did my MIMs ;). To justify this review, I'm a tech and own 35+ guitars and gig in 2 bands.

For a low price entry level guitar, this plays and feels like a much more expensive guitar. The build quality and the finish are excellent. I love the feel of the satin maple neck and the guitar arrived well set up ready to play. Highly recommend this limited edition guitar.

I have never really been much of a Strat person but I decided to buy this guitar because of the price and also how unique it is (I mean it's a purple sparkly Strat, that's not common).
The guitar looks like it was re-packaged by Andertons so I assume they did a check over it when it arrived with them, and I do not know if they did a setup or if it was at the factory, but it plays amazing out of the box! Honestly it is very impressive for an instrument in this price range, and very fun to play too which is the main thing.
The satin neck feels amazing and there are literally no issues with the frets. This is impressive considering I have played much more expensive instruments with frets that are nowhere near this well done.
I will be putting locking tuners on with a new trim system, but honestly that is just for preference and a bit of modding fun. The tuning stability even with the trem is really solid, some of the better tuners on a low end guitar for sure. The only thing I am not a fan of is how bright the tone is from the pickups, although I am used to playing humbuckers on a high gain setting, so I will change these out at some point. Again that's more of a preference thing again though.
I think for any beginner guitarist you cannot really get much better than this for price, and I think the standard bullet Strats are even cheaper. For intermediate or higher I think you would still have a ton of fun with this, I could definitely see myself playing one of these in a live situation!
Also I don't think the pictures do justice to how cool the finish is. Its sooo much better in person.

For the money you really have to love this guitar. I bought this for my niece as her first guitar. My first in the late 80's was also a Squire Bullet and have great memories learning to rock n roll. First thing I had to do straight out the box was polish up the frets. Unbelievably there was no further setup required. The factory did a damn good job! Put some extra slinky 8's on it so her newby little fingers can make it play. That worked. It sounds great. I gave it a cranked up test drive before wrapping it up and it really was a joy to play. And the colour is stunning. You will be playing in front of the mirror for hours just admiring the metalic Purple. Awesome! The pickups sound clear and notably reflect the selector position. The tremolo is set nice and flat to allow for just subtle vibrato. Nut was cut nicely. The neck is beautiful and the tuners work well. A loaded pickguard would be a great easy upgrade for this beauty if you wanted a bit more out of it. Or for the project guys this would make a satisfying subject to work with.
So for the sake of a little patience shining up the frets straight out the box, I wont knock it down from a 5 star guitar because it simply is. Remember the price!

Absolutly in love with this guitar! The colour, setup and overall sound are absolutly great! It's a great modding guitar as this will be my first main guitar to mod and hopefully begin to gig in the new year! Andertons should release more Squiers and even Fenders in this colour, it's stunning, (the photos really don't do it justice).

I was looking for something a bit more unique in a 3 single coil setup that was still inexpensive. This is a very cool metallic purple. And I can give a nod to Pete. Three positive things going for it. In 40 years of playing, I am absolutely floored at the quality one can get in the Squier line... and this did not disappoint. Out of the box, there was some uniform fret buzz, but a quarter turn of the truss rod to provide relief was all it took to correct. And that's likely due to the vastly different climate here in Los Angeles. The setup performed was exquisite and it sounds wonderful. I couldn't be happier with this product and the whole purchaing experience with Anderton's. Cheers!

Bought this on impulse cause I wanted a strat I could modify. First Of all, the guitar is STUNNING in person. I’ve showed it to several people and the consensus is that the metallic purple is amazing.
I swapped out the pickups and put a set of locking tuners on it, and it sings. With upgrades, it’s the ideal guitar for me, lightweight, beautiful, and packs a punch!

I am really pleased with my purchase. For £149, I have a guitar that sounds like a strat, and is a lovely purple. The neck is very comfotable, and the satin finish is appreciated and very unusual at this price point. The frets are well filed down so there are no rough edges.
Sadly, whoever did that filing did not take care not to scratch the neck, and there are very visible lines in the neck wood at every fret past the 12th.

Really cool guitar. Sounds great. Setup okay. Fretboard rolled slightly, no sharp Frets, tuners are a bit ****** but I'm still using them just extra minutes or two a play session. Also volume pot is a bit finicky but doesn't bother me. Colour makes up for the fact that it came with few scratches on pick guard. Overall I'm happy

Bought the exclusive Danish Pete Purple strat. Excellent colour. Being a bullet squier , the frets as expected were a little “scratchy” nothing a bit of 0000 wire wool couldn’t remedy. Ceramic pups have good time and output and to be fair, vs my alnico player strat pups very hard to tell tonal differences. Great colour, great price, great value. Great platform for some customisation !!!

I ordered this as it's a limited edition colour and for an entry level guitar I was pleasantly surprised! The pickups sounded a lot better than I thought they would! The fret ends weren't as sharp as I expected them to be. Need a little attention which I expected but again pleasantly surprised! All in all it's a steal and I think this Bullet Strat is better than the Affinity I have which is the next level up!!

Straight out of the box this guitar plays great. With a little bit of setup tweaking for my personal preference, I am very happy with the way this guitar plays.
There are no sharp fret ends, the intonation is spot on and the overall finish is superb. All I really needed to do was polish the frets because they felt a little bit gritty. This is very easy to do and can be done just by playing it if you are not to bothered about the way the frets feel.
This is not going to replace a usa fender stratocaster but for the money this thing is killer. You cannot go wrong with a squire bullet. If you are a beginner, this is the perfect guitar to start on, if you have more experience playing and fancy a mod project, these are a great option.
