The Bedford is D’Angelico’s solid-body offset design. Combining retro cool with a slick contemporary tonal palette, it's sure to turn heads with both looks and sound. The Deluxe version features several high-quality upgrades, including USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups, Grover locking tuners and a Wilkinson tremolo.
Construction
The extravagant F hole basswood body provides the perfect platform for its aggressive pickups. The shape is super ergonomic, with great upper-fret access for soloing thanks to a seamless set-through design.
Everything about the neck screams fast, contemporary playing experience. The three-piece maple and walnut neck is topped with a flat 14-inch ebony fretboard, housing medium jumbo frets and those stunning mother of pearl/abalone block inlays. Quick to traverse and flashy aesthetic in equal measure.
Grover Super Rotomatic Locking tuners and a TUSQ nut ensure excellent tuning stability.
Sound
The Bedford possess a truly unique sound. From the bridge position, you're getting vintage Firebird style heat that works great with hot rhythm tones. In the middle and neck positions are Two-Five Tele single coils, which put a new spin on the classic pickup sound. The lows are even tighter and the highs even spicier. All combined, this is a real sonic treat.
