This is my first baritone and 3rd Chapman guitar. There was a few issues but I'll start with the positives. First off this guitar is a lot of fun, the low tuning and long scale give it a very different feel to anything I've played before. It's very nice jam out on the lower tuning. The guitar also looks beautiful going from a purple to a turquoise ish blue. The fretwork on this particular one was actually surprisingly nice too. Now for some negatives about it. The guitar came with the intonation a bit off so I had to set that up after I changed the strings. The cavity plate refused to come off no matter how much I tried after I heard some rattling coming from inside the cavity. Once I got the cavity open (by wedging a pick up the plate) I discovered that rattling was a small piece of wood that had come off where one of the screws were drilled. Lastly the pickups aren't great, especially with the low tuning and don't offer much clarity. So might be worth changing if you get this guitar. The other two Chapman I own haven't come with any of the issues this one had, but I didn't see the point in contacting Andertons since it still plays alright minus the intonation being off and i got it on the spring sale. I do very much like the guitar though, so I'm happy with it for now.

One of my new favorite guitars. The scale length is really what makes it outstanding! It handles low tunings like no other. The neck profile is thicker than my preference but still very comfortable. The pickups were the biggest surprise for me, the sound is fantastic, especially for the price!

What a great instrument. I was really nervous about buying online without trying, especially a baritone. The list of things that could be wrong were endless, but none of them came true. The fret work especially around the edges are smooth as silk which is rare in any guitar. The scale length is, of course, longer than the average 6 string, but after a while you get used to it (I also play bass so that helped). After 20 years on standard guitar the lower register took a little getting used to but is a lot of fun, and amped up is where this shines. The quality from the pick ups is amazing and I won't be changing them like I feared. The body colour isn't as bright as shown in the pictures but this is neither a pro nor a con, just a note for anyone looking to buy. I debated between a 7 string and this, and this did win out. But if anyone can find me a Chapman 7 string with equal quality and price I will buy that too.
