B Stock : Fender F-1020SCE Solid Top Natural

The Fender F-1020SCE is a solid top electro-acoustic guitar, probably one of the best affordable solid top electros on the market in fact!

So what is a solid top and why would you want one on your new acoustic? In order to make more affordable guitars all manufactures use 'laminated' wood which is normally a layer of more expensive (and prettier) wood over the top of cheaper wood (which is still good sounding just not as easy on the eyes). Laminate back and sides don't affect the tone too much but a solid top (one thick piece of Spruce in this case) is more important because it's where the strings met the wood (ie it's where the magic happens!). A solid top gives you a brighter, cleaner tone and will help the guitar to mellow with age giving you a great tone for years to come!

Being a Dreadnought shape gives the F-1020SCE a big bold tone that's got lots of volume and power, it also introduces a natural compression to the sound which helps to level out your playing, especially when you dig in and strum hard!

The built in electronics allow you to plug the F-1020SCE straight into an acoustic amp or PA and get the same great tone but louder!
