Limited Edition Double Jet

This particular Gretsch model was initially made for our friends at Chicago Music Exchange as a special run, but we've collaborated with them and Gretsch to bring this awesome Double Jet to this side of the pond! Finished in a gorgeous Shell Pink colour, the G5232 Electromatic Double Jet FT is a mesmerising guitar that also boasts a pair of Black Top Filter’Tron pickups for authentic Gretsch tone, a luxurious Laurel fingerboard and spellbinding nickel hardware.

Chambered Construction

An old-school Gretsch Double Jet at heart, this symmetrical-bodied guitar is largely crafted from Mahogany — giving the instrument a deep and harmonically-rich sound. A set-neck construction enhances sustain, while a chambered body design not only lightens the guitar but boosts resonance for a responsive playing feel too!

Thin "U" Neck Profile

Gretsch guitars are adored for their comfort, and this limited edition G5232 Electromatic Double Jet FT is no exception. Sporting a Thin "U"-shaped neck, this addictively-pleasant profile will appeal strongly to Gretsch aficionados familiar with their carve, but is sure to strike a chord with newer, contemporary guitarists who seek stellar playing performance.

Black Top Filter’Tron Pickups

Experienced guitar players will know that Gretsch instruments possess a very distinctive "jangly" sound, which can be mostly attributed to the unique design of their pickups. The G5232 Electromatic Double Jet FT captures that iconic sonic character with its Black Top Filter’Tron pickups, but promises bolder and ballsier low-end tones that still have plenty of top-end bite — without sounding shrill or "ice-picky".

Versatile Electronics

With independent volume controls for each pickup, as well as master volume and tone knobs, there's also a useful 3-position toggle switch that allows you to isolate each Filter’Tron or use a combination of the two — providing a wide tonal palette.

Well, I cannot afford a White Falcon, (love Billy Duffy), and saw this Gretsch Bargain. I’ve already got a few guitars with gold hardware, so went with the Shell Pink, which was £50 cheaper than the Blue. My first double cut, which looks great. I wanted to try Filtertron’s, and these are to my ears unique sounding, compared to my Les Paul and Strat. In truth, and this isn’t a negative, I’m pleased though, that I own other guitars, as I’m able to enjoy their sounds which are familiar, yet, when I pick up the Gretsch it takes me into a different sonic landscape! Hahaha, that sounds so precocious - the Sound is just different ok! Just visit a Store and play one. The Gretsch is certainly value for money.

Beautiful finish and design. The pickups are great whether clean or overdriven, especially nice for the price of the guitar. I have used it in a worship band a few times now and I love how it plays.

This guitar looks and sounds absolutely amazing. Love the vintage shell pink color that’s not too bright or too dim and it looks great with the chrome hardwares. Also love the color-matching headstock and back of the neck. Those fingerboard inlays are beautiful as well. In terms of sounds it has that filter’tron clarity comparing to my Gibson and Epiphone dual humbuckers. I tried the broad’trons on the G2215 models and I have to say the blacktop Filter’tron here definitely has a more authentic sound. The neck pickup is less boomy but still has that warmth. I like playing at the middle with the bridge volume dialed to half. It just adds some sparkles to it. Works well with both of my Fender and Marshall style amp. The only thing kinda confusing to me is the master volume. It does very little to the overall volume until the very last bit and then kills it off completely.

Unbelievable quality for a guitar at this price. Amazing colour. Gretsch sound. No tuning issues. Frets and hardware needed no adjustment.
