Firewire Interfaces

Your audio interface bridges the gap between your instrument and your computer. They come in all shapes and sizes depending on your requirements; if you’re working with a large ensemble, you’ll want more inputs, whereas if you record on the move, you’ll want something compact and lightweight.

As computer technology has progressed, audio companies have raced to keep up to date. While USB remains a staple in the tech world, a number of alternatives offer added benefits. One of those alternatives is firewire; introduced in the late ‘90s, it offered an increase in speed. While connections like thunderbolt have overtaken these benchmarks (by considerable amounts), firewire (both the 400 and 800 versions) is still widely used among producers and technicians.

Our firewire interface range includes offerings from Presonus, RME, Focusrite and many more. If you’ve got a question about our selection, please get in touch – in the meantime, check out what’s on offer below!
