Product Description

ZVEX's '59 Sound pedal emulates the rich, open tones of a classic '59 Fender Bassman guitar amplifier. Capturing the essence of that truly magical machine, you can use the ZVEX ’59 Sound into any amplifier set clean and you’ll get a taste of the naturally transparent and dynamic distortion tones that make the ’59 Bassman one of the most sought-after vintage amps ever built!

This "Vertical" version of the '59 Sound features the exact same circuitry as the original, albeit with a more conventional chassis design that some players might find easier to mount onto their pedalboards.

2-in-1 Design

Featuring two footswitches, the ZVEX Effects '59 Sound is essentially a 2-in-1 pedal with a boost side and full-out "Rock" channel. Able to use the two sides independently or together for thicker gain - the '59 Sound gives you plenty of tonal options.

The ZVEX '59 Sound's high-headroom boost circuit offers plenty of extra volume, which can be controlled via the dedicated 'Boost' control. It's worth noting that the boost channel follows the distortion channel so that the distortion is able to hit your amp harder when both switches are engaged, offering a potent dose of "more" for solos and lead lines!

Unmistakable Fender Character

The ZVEX ’59 Sound is incredibly reactive to your guitar's base tone, and beautifully compliments the sonic differences between certain pickups and tonewood combinations. So whether you plug a dense-sounding Les Paul or a twangy Tele into this stompbox, the '59 Sound will allow your guitar's natural sound to shine through - embellished with that gorgeous Bassman tube overdrive tone!

It loves to stack with other distortions, compressors, overdrives and fuzz pedals too, so if you have a large pedalboard setup - the ZXEV '59 Sound will behave nicely with other effects. To influence the pedal's EQ, a single 'Tone' knob allows you to adjust the amount of treble. Keep it low for a smooth and vintage-like sound, or crank it higher to achieve and more contemporary tone with extra "bite" to cut through in a mix.
