Product Description

TC Electronic has reissued the first effects pedal they ever made — the legendary Stereo Chorus Flanger! Introduced all the way back in 1976, the original SCF was adored for its rich, watery modulation sounds and low-noise design; enjoying an astounding 40 years of production. Now, the iconic stompbox is back and better than ever before to celebrate TC Electronic's 45th anniversary.

The new SCF Gold is faithful to the original; retaining the unique chassis design and, more crucially, the all-analogue BBD circuity that yields the crisp chorus and flavourful flanger tones that made the effects unit so famous. However, a number of improvements make this reissued version a much easier pedal to integrate into your setup — now boasting a standard 9V power input for use with most modern pedal power supplies!

Key Features

  • Legendary analogue modulation pedal with chorus, flange and pitch modes.
  • Original BBD (bucket-brigade device) circuit used by world-renowned artists.
  • Updated with a standard 9V DC power socket for convenient use with your pedalboard PSU.
  • High-fidelity analogue preamp with increased headroom and improved low-frequency response.
  • Adjustable input gain with clip indicator provides versatility for use with any instrument.
  • Mind-blowing signal-to-noise ratio. SCF is completely quiet in regards to unwanted noise!
  • Dual outputs split your signal, providing a huge stereo spread and unique spacial dimension.

This chorus pedal works in stereo. I run it either in stereo or WDW. Either way you get both the stereo and dry signal out of both sides. The effected signal is 180 degrees out of phase from L to R which in my opinion is better than having Wet signal one side and dry the other which is how my other chorus pedal does it. The chorus effect is very subtle even on maximum run like this. If you require more pronounced chorus then I find placing it before the amp (after any overdrive pedals) rather than in the loop or mixer in my case gives that sound. It also does other effects, is analogue, and has a variable input gain. Works fine with an input straight from my SM57 with the input gain on maximum which is how I do the WDW setup. I can’t see any other chorus pedal being any better than this one.

TC Electronics. WOW. The most revered effects for any studio and musicians alike. Unbelievable quality and sound guaranteed. To use a stereo link up is astounding. Very spacious indeed.

Awesome sounds from this remake of the old classic. I've tried dozens of chorus pedals over the years but this one is simply the best to my ears. I've even been using the flanger!!
