Taylor 324ce Grand Auditorium Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Shaded Edge Burst

Taylor's 324ce is a dark, mysterious-looking guitar packed with groundbreaking design features for complete modern playability. The Grand Auditorium size and choice of Mahogany and Blackwood tonewoods make it great for fingerpicking or flat picking.
V Class bracing
Developed by master guitar designer Andy Powers, V Class bracing is the new innovative internal framework brought into all Taylor USA-made models. The switch from 100 years of X bracing to V changes the way the acoustic top wood vibrates, increasing volume and sustain. The wood is kept rigid through the middle of the guitar in the direction of the strings for more resonance while the sides of the top remain flexible for greater volume. An added benefit of V bracing is better intonation so notes and chords played anywhere on the neck are more consistently in tune with one another.
Like all Taylor instruments, the 314ce is a good looking guitar, with its deep and curvy shape and a beautiful rich Tropical Mahogany top. New for 2018 are the Italian acrylic fretboard inlays in the shape of gemstones, which add some flair to the stripped back design.
When you pick up any Taylor, the first thing you notice is how comfortable the Mahogany neck feels and the ease of playing it provides. Meanwhile, the Grand Auditorium body shape is comfortable for either fingerpicking or flat picking styles of play. The 324ce has a well balanced modern acoustic sound, and the Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides give it a strong midrange and top-end shimmer.
Here's what Taylor say about the 324ce:
This darkly alluring cutaway Grand Auditorium boasts unique visual appeal thanks to its mahogany top, and there’s sonic magic under the hood as well. Our groundbreaking V-Class bracing enhances the volume, sustain and projection, bringing out even more of the natural midrange focus of its Tasmanian blackwood back and sides. While the natural compression of the hardwood mahogany top tends to even out the response across the tonal spectrum, the V-Class design boosts the dynamic range, especially in the upper register, and the in-tuneness of the notes everywhere along the fretboard is wonderfully consistent. All of these nuances add up to a versatile choice for gigging, practicing or recording across multiple playing styles. The dusky hues of the mahogany top project a rootsy vibe, accented by a shaded edgeburst, black binding, a matching pickguard, and muted satin-finish sheen. The guitar ships with ES2 electronics in a deluxe hardshell case.
