Product Description

A genuine, Fender-designed double-bound Tele that won't break the bank? Yep, that's right! This exquisite Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Telecaster is one of the coolest FSR guitars we've seen yet, heavily-inspired by a limited run of Fender Custom Shop models from a couple of years ago.

Boasting a delicious candy apple green finish, crisp-sounding single-coil pickups, a player-friendly "C"-shaped neck with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, nickel-plated hardware and 1950s-inspired headstock markings — this is a unique instrument that you really don't want to miss out on!

Guitar has a slightly transparent finish which wasn't advertised on the product page. This would have been fine if the wood underneath was nice, but it is not.

These Squier classic vibe guitars really are worth the hype as you can easily gig with these things no problem.

Very good for the money, set up well out the box. New set of strings and a quick fret polish and it was good to go

I am a beginner but, comparing it to other products in the same price range, it seems like a great product to me.

Let me preface by stating that this was an order being shipped to the US and I understand there will be some shipping delays as a result. The problems with my order had nothing to do with shipping. In fact, that was the smoothest part of the transaction. The first hiccup occurred when I placed the order online. I received the “Ooops something went wrong” message and was unable to verify weather my order went through or not. It turned out that the order got duplicated since I tried to put it through again and I did not find out until the next day. I sent an email and customer service was able to sort out the order the following day. I requested a lighter version of the guitar that I ordered and Lawrence was nice enough to pull one for me and even sent photos. At this point I gave the go ahead to ship that specific one. The following day Lawrence emailed me to let me know the guitar was “misplaced” and they were able to locate an even lighter one. I was very happy to get this news and agreed to it and requested that it be shipped out right away. The day after Lawrence sends another email explaining the second one was also misplaced and he offered me a heavier one which I reluctantly approved. The guitar arrived surprisingly fast and when I pulled it out I noticed a dark streak going down the face of the guitar. The finish is candy apple and not translucent. I emailed Andertons to report the cosmetic defect and received a response from Adam stating: “The line you see is the wood grain under the finish. As the finish is slightly translucent, you will be able to see the markings and the grain of the wood used to make the body. This kind of thing will give your guitar a unique and recognizable look, even though it is a mass-produced instrument. Squier guitar bodies are also often made of many pieces of wood, so part of what you're seeing is the joins in the wood. It's very normal to see this kind of thing on this range of guitars. Please note, that we are unable to refund any VAT, duty fees or disbursement fees, as these are taken by DHL prior to the order being delivered to you. If you wish to enquire as to whether you are able to claim back these fees, you will have to raise an enquiry with your local DHL depot to see if this is possible as they have paid the fees on the your behalf.” At this point I explained that Candy Apple is not a translucent finish and I reached out to Fender to confirm it. I promptly reached out to Fender in the UK to report the problem and was told: “Candy Apple Green should not be translucent. Please get back in touch with Andertons to arrange return/replacement. You can show this email if needed, but if Andertons have any doubts they should contact us directly themselves.” After sharing this with Andertons the response I received from Max was: “Thank you for your continued patience. I have been in touch with Fender to see what can be done in this case. Once I have a bit more information I'll see what we can do. We will be back in contact as soon as we can. “ So now it’s been over a month since I ordered the guitar and I am left with a guitar with a defective finish and still waiting to hear back. This is a limited release and I asked for a replacement along with a return shipping label to send back the guitar. I don’t know why Andertons missed the defect when they inspected it. This is clearly a b-stock model and should not have been sold for full retail. The icing on the cake was I ordered a t-shirt as well that never showed up. This fiasco has yet to be resolved and I can only give Andertons a 1 star.

This is an incredibly stunning guitar 🎸 It plays beautifully straight out of the box. Playing through an Orange Rockerverb 100 mk1 with a 4x12 quad this guitar certainly rips it up. 🤟
