Product Description

Please note: The images show this bass model with an EMG pickup, but it actually features an Aguilar pickup.

Spector's Rebop 4 MM is a stunning bass guitar built for modern players seeking optimal playability and powerful tone. Made in the Czech Republic, the Rebop 4 MM boasts a gorgeous Quilted Maple top with a punchy Aguilar Dual-Coil pickup providing you with all of the sounds that a contemporary bassist could ever need.

Ergonomic Construction

The Spector Rebop 4 MM is constructed from high-quality European tonewoods, and is based on a formula that is known to work wonderfully. Featuring a medium-weight, balanced-sounding Alder body, this material serves as a great foundation for the potent Aguilar Dual-Coil pickup. The body is also shaped to the original curved Spector NS body design, meaning that it feels super-comfortable against your body.

A 3-piece Maple neck gives this bass plenty of upper mid-range bite, which is reinforced with graphite to ensure rock-solid tuning stability. The neck is joined to the Alder body via Spector's unique 'deep-socket' design, which increases contact between the two pieces to produce a thick tone and piano-like sustain.

Aguilar Electronics

Aguilar might be most well-known for its bass amplifiers, but the company is also acclaimed for its superb bass pickups and preamps. The Rebop 4 MM comes equipped with Aguilar's powerful passive dual-coil pickup, which guarantees a bombastically-bold bass tone with plenty of output and low-end growl.

To get the most out of the Rebop's sole pickup, the Aguilar OBP-2 preamp system lets you precisely boost/cut its bass and treble frequencies to make this instrument sound great in practically any mix.

About Spector Basses

Founded in 1976 by Stuart Spector and Alan Charney, Spector is regarded as one of the leading modern bass brands around today. When the company released its flagship NS-1 model in 1977, this instrument proved to raise the bar in the bass world with its contemporary feel, ergonomically-curved design and powerful pickups; qualities that most of its current bass offerings now share.

Spector has factories in both the Czech Republic and Korea, which produce the hand-made 'Euro' and affordable 'Legend' series' respectively. Their very best instruments are manufactured in a small North American facility. Renowned Spector players, both past and present, include Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), Rex Brown (Pantera) and Mike Starr (Alice In Chains).
