Inputs

The Rift PR6 features two inputs made to suit instruments with contrasting input levels. Input one is much like the 'low' input that you may see on similar amps, and is suited for passive low-output guitars. Input two fairs much better with hotter active pickup-loaded guitars or if you intend to use overdrive, boost or fuzz pedals.

Vintage style amps are designed to take stompboxes incredibly well even without an effects loop. Much like its Fender counterparts, the PR6 remains dynamic and responsive with pedals running through its front-end, ensuring that your playing idiosyncrasies are gloriously heard.

Blackface, Brownface & Tweed Circuits

Leo Fender first popularised blackface and tweed circuits in the 1950's. The former has a chimey, full frequency range that won't overdrive until higher volumes, while the latter is more unforgiving and percussive. Brownface bridges the gap between the two. This adds more midrange punch and reigns in highs. Renowned for making gorgeous tremolos.

Speaker & Cabinet

The PR6's 6w of power is perfect for studio use. This is helped in part by its WGS G12Q speaker, which projects plenty of volume out of the PR6's light Solid Welsh Pine enclosure. Emitting loads of punchy vintage mojo, this speaker adds some natural breakup while remaining clear and articulate.

Pine cabinets provide an airy sound that is exacerbated by the PR6's open-back design. You can mic up the cabinet from the rear to attain a more three-dimensional sound.
