The SE Custom 24 is based on its pricier American counterpart, which has been around since 1985. With 24 frets, a stable tremolo system and incredible-sounding pickups; this guitar is designed as a workhorse and will get you through any gig or recording session! Designed to capture the essence of a Maryland-made Paul Reed Smith instrument, PRS SE guitars play and feel like instruments that go far beyond their modest price tags.

Hot Yet Versatile

The pickups in this guitar are based on the amazing 85/15 humbuckers that have recently been used in all of PRS' American Core line models. Paul Reed Smith has said that these would have been the perfect pickups back in 1985, because they're hot enough to give you all of the punchy high-gain tones you'd ever want but clean up beautifully too. They sound crystal-clear and articulate without any top-end harshness.

Built Like A Tank

Made in South Korea, these guitars are built to the highest standards possible and are checked for even the smallest of faults before they even reach the UK. This level of detail means that these guitars will keep on going for years and years even if it spends most of its life on the road. PRS are known for building guitars that feel great straight out of the box - and they stay like that!

The indigo version of this this guitar is both striking and beautiful to look at. I liked the idea that every guitar in this range is totally unique, because, no two wood finishes are the same. So, nobody else on the planet has the same finished guitar as me. It really is a limited edition ! PRS guitars are renowned for their quality and workmanship. The sound it produces has a deeper resonance than my Strat and Tele. Myself, like many others buy a selection of guitars because each one has it’s own voice and identity. The PRS SE Custom 24 is a great alternative for people like myself who want a modern guitar that offers a contrasting sound and playing experience to more traditional schools of guitars. The PRS is very easy to play. I love it !

Its a gorgeous guitar. Beautiful to look at and it plays well. It arrived well set up and intonated, action a little low for my liking but not by much. Admittedly the satin black finish on the neck takes a bit of getting used to, but overall a comfortable feel. The guitar is quite loud acoustically and it seems the resonance does translate to the pickups. Which both sound good. Nice clarity clean and even at higher gain, although the split single coils get a little thin. Overall its got a nice voice, except that rolling the volume back gets the guitar very dark very quickly.. so it might benefit from a treble bleed there. Not a tremolo guy so can't comment much. Seems smooth. Build quality is of a high standard for the price point, frets are rounded, fit and finish tight. Tuning keys smooth and feel positive. Some minor issues with the pots being a little stiff and scratchy and protrude a bit too much. Overall i'm very pleased with the guitar: Gorgeous looking and great value for money.
