Product Description

The PRS DGT (or David Grissom Trem) is one meticulously designed instrument. It took over 20 years of work between Paul Smith and David Grissom - known for his work with the likes of John Mellencamp, Dixie Chicks etc - before the final version was reached.

McCarty Influence

Taking some cues from the already established McCarty, the DGT boasts a whole suite of its own unique features. These range from a custom neck shape, special DGT pickups, taller frets and even an entirely re-designed control layout. The excellent craftsmanship extends further too, with a stunning flame maple top, mahogany back and rosewood fingerboard completing proceedings.

Pickup Potential

Speaking of the pickups, the pair of DGT's deliver a classic vintage voicing that can be applied nicely to a host of old-school sounds. Paul and David actually spent an entire year comparing forty sets of different pickups before settling on the humbuckers you now find on the instrument. That's how you know PRS care about every single aspect of their guitars - right down to the smallest details!

It doesn't stop there though. Greater versatility is on offer thanks to separate volume controls for each pickup, alongside a push/pull master tone control which is used to operate the coil taps.
