Product Description

The Custom 24 is the definitive PRS guitar. Unveiled at the 1985 NAMM Show, this stellar six-string was PRS’ very first production model and it remains their most popular instrument even today. Distinctive for its flying bird fingerboard inlays, dual humbuckers, 24 frets and ergonomic contours — the Custom 24 is considered a modern classic among guitarists.

Premium Construction

PRS' Custom 24 model boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a gorgeous Figured Maple top, this instrument's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end!

Joining the body is a Mahogany neck carved to PRS' acclaimed "Pattern Thin" profile. Delivering a speedy yet supportive feel, the neck is also topped with a silky-smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers. The 25" scale length is another noteworthy detail, providing optimal string tension for superb playability.

High-Quality Hardware

The PRS Patented Gen III tremolo keeps things solid, with its beautifully-machined design offering a comfy feel and a smooth vibrato arm response. At the other end of the guitar you'll find a set of PRS Phase III Locking machine heads that'll keep your tuning super-stable, while making string changes a lot easier too.

PRS 85/15 Pickups

The Custom 24 features 85/15 Treble and Bass humbuckers, capturing the essence of Paul Reed Smith's original 1985 pickups but with a more modern and punchy voice. The clarity and unique tones of these pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find their tonal sweet spot with clean or distorted amp settings.
