The Retro Wind Stratocaster is inspired by the pickups from a ’68 Strat – but modified to suit modern expectations. This variant boasts a Parchment finish.
Carefully Considered Balance
Quality balance and musicality across each string is made possible due to the set being the lowest output Strat set that Monty’s manufacture. Chords will play as one, without a specific note potentially dominating the others.
The blend of warm chime from the highs, placed together with the mids and lows, makes for close, rhythmic woody sounds. If you chose to drive them, you’ll get a collection of warm and clear tones – which don’t ever become too harsh.
Compliments Modern Wiring
The pickups work in harmony with a multitude of modern wiring setups, meaning you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues.
Partially Potted
This stops the centre of the coil from clogging with wax. The result is improved response and better clarity.

Our Retro Winds are a range of pickups that are completely at one with themselves; with a perfect balance of vintage voicing and a few modern Montyfications, these pickups are wound to provide the discerning modern player with a vintage vibe. Every tweak that we’ve made is designed to make things a little bit more flexible, be It introducing hum cancelling middle positions, or potting our humbuckers.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
