Jackson Rhoads Guitars

Iconic. Arguably, the guitar that put Jackson on the map. The Rhoads takes its names from the legendary shredder Randy Rhoads, who co-designed the first prototype shape in 1980.

Jackson Rhoads Guitars

The Jackson Rhoads was first commissioned by Randy Rhoads, then-guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne. Its first inception was the Concorde which had a larger asymmetrical V shape body. Since then, it has been streamlined and sharpened to the point of super metal aggressiveness.

The Jackson Rhoads is most often found with a few standard specs, spanning their JS, X and Pro series ranges. You’ll likely see the Rhoads equipped with a Floyd Rose floating bridge, high output pickups and 24 jumbo frets. This is a true metal machine.

First off, the JS Rhoads boasts excellent value with all the panache of the original design. It uses a graphite-reinforced neck, compound radius fingerboard and in-house made pickups for excellent durability, sound and feel.

The X series adds more finish options to the mix, as well as reverse headstock options, through-body neck construction and Seymour Duncan pickups. If you’re only after the best, the Pro series is where you’ll find it. This is kitted out in dashing finishes, exotic woods and built to extreme precision.
