Comfortable Construction
Ibanez's flagship RG model has always been regarded as a premium guitar built solely for shredders. The RG5170B-BK perfectly fits that mould, sporting a lightweight Basswood body that delivers a beautifully-balanced sound, of which boasts deep cutaways that allow for effortless access to all 24 frets. A heavily-contoured belly-cut lets the instrument rest snugly against you in practice and playing positions too.
Super Wizard Neck
The RG5170B-BK's bolt-on 5-piece Maple/Wenge neck gives the guitar rigidity and a snappy note response with plenty of top-end articulation — perfect for complex riffs or solos that need to cut through in a mix! The superbly-thin 'Super Wizard' HP neck shape makes fast passages a breeze to play too, especially with the ultra-smooth Prestige fret edge treatment, while the luxurious Macassar Ebony fingerboard comes fitted with wide/tall jumbo frets that offer you maximum control under the fingers.
Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups
This elegant instrument is powered by a set of high-output Fishman Fluence Modern pickups. Capable of handling copious amounts of gain, the bridge and neck humbuckers project an aggressive tone and a powerful attack without excess noise. But they're far from being one-trick ponies. That’s because these versatile pickups can dish out crisp and luscious tones with clean settings, especially when you use the voicing switch to change from a potent contemporary sound to a softer and more fluid timbre.
The Fluence Single-Width pickup in the middle position emits a warm, clear character with stunning punch and definition — promising the same quiet operation as the humbuckers. Altogether, this flexible HSH configuration provides you with a wide palette of tones that can cater for practically any style!

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
