Product Description

In 2018, modern session legend Martin Miller teamed up with Ibanez to create his very first signature guitar — the MM1. Based on Ibanez's AZ model, this top-quality instrument offered both a stunning aesthetic and a wide sonic palette. Fast-forward a couple of years, and Ibanez has collaborated with the German virtuoso once again to expand his popular signature series.

The new MM7 keeps most of Miller's original artist model intact, but now boasts 7 strings to meet his demands as a boundary-pushing musician keen to explore the extended range. Key features include a set of Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups, a rock-solid Roasted Maple neck, stainless steel frets, Luminlay side dots, Gotoh locking tuners and a Graph Tech nut.

Contemporary Construction

Like most Ibanez guitars, the Martin Miller MM7 signature model has a bolt-on construction that ensures optimal note definition and snap. The sculpted neck joint makes access to the higher register a total breeze too — all the way up to the 24th fret!

An African Mahogany body ensures a warm and rounded tone — kicking out plenty of low-end and mid-range punch with piano-like sustain. Adorned with a beautiful AAA Flamed Maple top, the MM7-TAB is sure to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end.

Roasted Maple Neck

Many modern high-end instruments are fitted with Roasted Maple necks, and the MM7 is no exception. Via Ibanez's 'S-TECH' special roasting treatment, this process removes all of the natural moisture retained by the neck wood which ultimately darkens the material and makes it far less vulnerable to warping when exposed to varying climates — ensuring incredible stability.

Stainless Steel Frets

Fitted with hard-wearing and corrosion-resistant stainless steel frets, their wide/tall jumbo design provides maximum control under the fingers for effortless vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends — enhanced with the smooth Prestige fret edge treatment for additional finesse.

Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups

The Ibanez MM7 is fitted with a set of Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers — made exclusively for the AZ series. With a balanced, medium output; these pickups are incredibly flexible and thus appropriate for a range of styles — essential for an in-demand session musician like Martin Miller.

dyna-MIX10 Switching System

The dyna-MIX10 pickup switching system allows you to access 10 different configurations, with the mini-switch between the volume and tone controls allowing you to engage full humbucker or single-coil modes.

High-Quality Gotoh Hardware

Timeless chrome hardware keeps this instrument classy and elegant, with the Gotoh T1872S tremolo letting you perform anything from crazy divebombs to gentle warbles. Paired with a set of Gotoh Magnum-Lock machine heads, this guitar will stay in tune amazingly well — even after plenty of tremolo abuse!
