    Semi-Hollow Mahogany Body

Fender have a long history of experimenting with different body woods, and this is the latest in that line. Mahogany is a dense wood, known for its warm tone, with plenty of rich midrange character and a smooth, subdued high-end. It also produces guitars with excellent sustain. The Thinline construction compliments the Mahogany body perfectly. By enhancing the warm tone and softer attack you get from a hollow-body, you'll get round, punchy clean tones and creamy smooth overdrive. The semi-hollow construction also negates the weight issues of mahogany, keeping the guitar lightweight and comfortable to play.

    Vintage Neck Profile

The Stunning AAA Flamed Maple used to make this neck has been roasted to reduce weight and increase resonance. It also makes the neck stronger and more stable, meaning it is extremely resistant to bowing or warping with changing weather conditions or climates. The deep roasted colour and mesmerising flame pairs beautifully with the reddish brown hue of the Mahogany body. The Maple neck also adds that classic Tele snap to the tone, adding brightness and twang, for a crisp top end that balances out the warmer tone of the Mahogany body.

The 10/56 V profile is a very unique shape, based on a profile found only in Fender necks from October of 1956. It has a pronounced V shape up by the nut, which comfortably fills the palm when playing chords, which rounds out to almost a C shape by the 12th fret - ideal for placing your thumb on the back of the neck and soloing. The Neck is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer which has been worn on the back of the neck, leaving satin finish, beloved for its silky smooth feel. The narrow tall frets are the perfect blend of vintage tone and modern playability. They offer the height of a modern fret, giving you a familiar feel, but their narrow construction ensures that the "woodiness" of your tone stays intact, as you would get with a smaller, vintage fret.

    Custom Shop P-90 Pickups

Loaded with a pair of Fender Custom Shop P-90s, this Thinline tele has bucketloads of mojo and swagger! P-90s are often described as the perfect balance between single coils and humbuckers. Because P-90s are technically single coils in construction, they share many characteristics - they clean up beautifully for an articulate sound with tremendous note definition, and they have an incredible dynamic range, so you can inject your personality into the guitar, and it will project that back out. Where it resembles a humbucker is in its output. P-90s are wound around a wider surface area than a standard single coil, and so can accommodate more winds, bringing its output inline with a vintage P.A.F style humbucker, so when you add gain it will crunch up and take on an aggressive, midrange character, or roll back the volume for creamy smooth overdrive. The P-90 truly does it all!
