An incredible recreation of a Beatles classic. No, not a song, but George Harrison’s first Sonic Blue Fender Strat bought in 1965 from Grimwoods; The Music People; Maidstone and Whitstable. This is an extremely rare and sought-after guitar. Order now to guarantee your reservation.
Backstory
George used his original Rocky Strat across multiple legendary albums such as Help!, Rubber Soul and Revolver in its Sonic Blue form. The lead guitarist then took it upon himself to give the guitar a makeover during the musically colourful Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band era – a fitting paint job to match the record.
You can hear it on the songs Ticket To Ride, Nowhere Man and You're Going To Lose That Girl. It's also seen on screen in the I Am The Walrus segment of the Magical Mystery Tour TV film.
The Rocky (aptly named after the word painted onto the headstock) has been painstakingly rebuilt in absolute likeness to the original by Fender master builder Paul Waller.
Features
From the same psychedelic artwork to the two-piece alder body and rare asymmetrical ‘C’ shape neck profile, the Rocky Strat is the closest you will get to looking and sounding like a member of the Beatles. It even features an accurate Grimwoods decal on the back of the headstock.
Other little touches include the opened tremolo backplate, a 5A flame maple neck, “Bebopalula” and “Go Cat Go” paintwork and three single coil pickups handwound by Fender Custom Shop legend Abigail Ybarra.

How do I use instant finance?

You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
